PRESERVED ADVANCED MASU Arrangement

Instructor: Emi Ogata
MASU Arrangement

About the Lesson

A vibrant New Year’s arrangement crafted with preserved flowers in a traditional Japanese “MASU” wooden box.

We layer vibrant flowers with materials symbolic of the New Year—such as pine and berries—and incorporate mizuhiki as a bold accent.

Rather than simply replicating traditional motifs, we create a design that complements modern spaces through a rich combination of colors and materials.

We’ll create an arrangement that balances splendor with a sense of harmony, allowing you to appreciate the varying heights of the flowers, the flow of colors, and the layering of different textures.

Since we proceed carefully through each step, even beginners in preserved flower arranging are welcome to participate.

Please enjoy this special New Year’s decoration, perfect for the start of a new year.

*Please note that floral materials are subject to change depending on market conditions and availability.

*The image is for illustrative purposes only. The actual design, vase, and quantity of floral materials used may vary.
