PRESERVED ADVANCED Blush Petal Art

Blush Petal Art

About the Lesson

Using only carnation petals, we’ll carefully layer each petal one by one to create three dimensional art pieces.

Rather than simply preserving the flower’s natural shape, we’ll first break down the material and then reconstruct it while paying close attention to color, texture, and form. By making the most of the shadows, depth, and variations in color created by the delicate layering of petals, we’ll craft pieces that reveal different expressions depending on the viewing angle.

This creative lesson explores new possibilities for preserved flowers through an approach that differs from traditional floral arrangements. While honing your ability to observe materials, your compositional skills, and your technique for achieving beautiful finishes down to the finest details, you’ll enjoy creating free-form, sculptural designs that are uniquely possible with preserved flowers.

*Please note that floral materials are subject to change depending on market conditions and availability.

*Images are for illustrative purposes only. Actual designs, vases used, and the quantity of floral materials may vary.
